A member of the FUSAC team (Caroline) was lucky enough to test out the Pictours Paris service for a one-hour photo session ! Here is what she thought of the experience …
When I was offered to do a photo session, I was both excited and nervous! I thought it would be really nice to have some HQ pictures in a beautiful area of Paris but… I don’t like posing for pictures! I’m generally a big fan of spontaneous pictures, when I’m unaware that a picture is taken and a nice moment is captured. However I am used to having my picture taken as my dad is a photographer and I spent my childhood having to pose for pictures. Not quite the same as a proper photo shoot though… This time, It was a really good opportunity as I recently got engaged! My fiancé and I realised we never had our picture taken near the Eiffel Tower as we generally tend to avoid the touristy spots so we thought it would be nice to try!
We spoke to Lindsey regarding the location. We could only do the photo shoot on a Saturday afternoon so she suggested Le Pont Alexandre III, less busy than Trocadero and still with the Eiffel Tower in the background (and it’s also such a beautiful bridge!!). We were happy with the idea and met up with her on a very warm summer day! We told her we wanted something very chilled and not over the top and she immediately understood that. I did not have my hair or make up done by professionals as I wanted to look very natural. We still made efforts to look nice though of course! We decided to wear a smart and casual outfit. When we arrived, I was a bit concerned with the amount of people around us (several brides were around too!) but as soon as we started the photo shoot, we really forgot about it! Lindsey instantly made us feel comfortable. She guided us as we had no idea what to do! She gave us some great tips, small things, like where to put our hands, how to put our legs and it was very useful ! She completely respected what we wanted and was very gentle and easy going – just what we like! We had some shots taken posing on the bridge, some while we were walking around and some by the river.
A couple of weeks later, we got an email with our pictures to download. How exciting!! We were given the choice to share the pictures on their website or to keep them private. We were more comfortable keeping them private to share them with close family and friends. We were very happy with the result! Of course, you can’t like how you look on all the pictures but we liked ourselves on a lot of them and thought it all looked very natural, not staged at all. Some really beautiful romantic shots were taken! We were impressed. We could not recommend Pictours Paris enough for a great photo session in Paris!! And note that it is not just for couples! You can do a fun session solo, with friends or as a family!
